Sodexo Campus Services is seeking Operations Retail Manager for a busy board and retail operation and upscale catering operation for a Liberal Arts, State University in Fredericksburg, VA. Retial sales are presently at $2.5M at 2 locations. The Director of Retail Operations has full operational responsibility for retail on Campus . Approx 55 employees with 3 direct reports. New retail concept opened in August. Plans to expand brands and possible renovation of retail facility. Must be able to train and direct employees in Sodexo systems and culture. Retail experience, attention to detail, implementation of food production systems, brand audits, HACCP and customer service. Experience with Sodexo brands preferred. Circle of customer excellence emphasized. Teacher, coach and developer of staff is necessary for success. Hands on at meal times. Experience successfully addressing and resolving employee issues, counceling and disipline. Able to be innovative. Ability to communicate with all members of the University community is necessary.

Assumes GM's responsibilities and authority in his/her absence in complex multi-functional accounts. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Responsible for financial/HR functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers. Basic Education Requirement: Associate's Degree Basic Management/Supervisory Experience Required: 2 years of lead/supervisory/management experience Basic Functional Experience Required: 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc. You may substitute 1 additional year of experience for each year of education below the basic requirement above as long as you possess a high-school diploma or GED.Position Posting Title: Operations Manager 1 - Food
