Description

Sodexo Campus Services is seeking a General Manager 5 ? Food in Fredericksburg, Virginia to manage approximately $6.0M in annual sales, consisting of multiple outlet operations, with high end catering services offered to both the public and client institution. The General Manager will manage a team of 8 managers and approximately 300 full and part time employees. Seeking candidates with excellent financial management skills, the ability to build and mentor a wide range of managers with different levels of experience and diversity. The ideal candidate will have excellent background in all campus services food venue offerings including multiple concept student restaurants, retail brands, and outstanding knowledge of catering operations from routine to very high end events constituting $1.5M + in annual sales; should possess excellent client relation skills; knowledge of corporate safety programs, marketing initiatives and culinary based initiatives/programs; have the ability to manage and provide innovative concepts and solutions; driving customer satisfaction, sales, and profitability. Also be able to manage all administrative responsibilities, while being hands on, operations focused. The University is within an hour?s drive of both Washington, D.C., and Richmond, Va.


Requirements

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account. Basic Education Requirement: Associate's Degree Basic Management/Supervisory Experience Required: 3 year(s) of lead/supervisory/management experience Basic Functional Experience Required: 4 year(s) You may substitute 1 additional year of experience for each year of education below the basic requirement above as long as you possess a high-school diploma or GED.Position Posting Title: General Manager 5 - Food
